Lattice

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 30, 2026

The short version

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.

  • Lattice is made by FREEFORGE LLC, a small company. By using Lattice you agree to these terms.
  • Your subscription lets you use Lattice on up to 2 computers. Don't share your account or resell access.
  • You own your code, prompts and models. We don't see them: AI requests go from your computer to the AI provider you choose, using your own key.
  • AI can be wrong. Review code before you run it and keep backups of your Rhino and Grasshopper files. We're not responsible for lost or damaged work.
  • You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We don't offer refunds except for billing mistakes or where the law requires (see the Cancellation & Refund Policy).
  • Lattice is provided "as is", and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
  • If we disagree about something, we first try to solve it together; if that fails, Wyoming law and courts apply.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FREEFORGE LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal address at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("FreeForge", "we", "us").

They apply to Lattice, which includes the website at latticecode.dev, the Lattice editor (desktop application), the Lattice Bridge plugin for Rhino, the Lattice tools for third-party coding agents, updates, and any related documentation and support (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be 18 or older, or at least 16 with permission from a parent, guardian or your school.
  • Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Tell us right away at hello@latticecode.dev if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • An account is for one person. Don't share your login.

3. Organization accounts

If you use Lattice on behalf of a company, firm, school or other organization ("Organization"):

  • you confirm you're allowed to accept these Terms for that Organization, and "you" includes the Organization;
  • the Organization is responsible for who it allows to use its plan (for example, everyone with a company email address) and for their compliance with these Terms;
  • Organization administrators may manage, view or remove access for members of their Organization.

Specific terms for organization plans may be shown when you buy them. If they conflict with these Terms, the organization plan terms apply to that plan.

4. Your licence to use Lattice

While your subscription (or any free or trial access we give you) is active and you follow these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Lattice for your own work, including professional and commercial work, on up to the number of devices included in your plan (currently 2).

Free access we give for a limited time (for example, beta or partner access) ends on the date we tell you, unless we extend it.

We may check your licence periodically, including when the editor starts. The editor can keep working offline for a limited grace period (currently 7 days) before it needs to check again.

5. Things you must not do

You agree not to:

  • share your account, resell, sublicense or rent access to Lattice, or use one subscription for more people or devices than your plan allows;
  • bypass, disable or interfere with licensing, device limits, or security features;
  • copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works of Lattice, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
  • use Lattice to break the law, infringe others' rights, create malware, or harm other people's systems;
  • overload, attack or disrupt the Service or our infrastructure, or access it by automated means except as we allow;
  • use Lattice to build a competing product by copying its features, design or content.

6. Subscriptions, payments and renewals

  • Prices. Current prices are shown on our pricing page. Prices may not include taxes; applicable taxes are added at checkout.
  • Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. For many purchases, Link (a Stripe service) acts as the reseller or merchant of record, and its terms are shown at checkout and also apply to the purchase. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. We may remind you before yearly renewals.
  • Plan changes. You can switch between monthly and yearly in Manage billing. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at the end of your current period.
  • Price changes. We may change prices. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to your subscription. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we or our payment providers may retry it. If it isn't resolved, your access may be paused or ended.
  • Free trials. If we offer a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime in Manage billing on your account page. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then it ends.

Payments are non-refundable, except for billing errors or where the law requires otherwise. Details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Bring your own key and third-party services

Lattice works with services we don't own or control, including:

  • AI model providers (for example, through OpenRouter) that you connect with your own API key;
  • web search providers (for example, Exa) used by the agent;
  • Rhinoceros® and Grasshopper®, made by Robert McNeel & Associates.

Your use of those services is governed by their terms and pricing, not ours. You're responsible for any costs on your own accounts and keys. We aren't responsible for their availability, changes, outputs or how they handle your data.

9. AI output and your responsibility

Lattice uses AI to suggest, write and run code in your Rhino and Grasshopper documents. Please understand that:

  • AI output can be wrong, incomplete, insecure or unexpected, and can be similar to code written by others.
  • You decide what to run. Review code and changes before applying them, especially on important work.
  • Keep backups of your models, definitions and files. Running code can modify or delete geometry and data.
  • You're responsible for how you use the output, including checking it is suitable and that you have the rights you need to use it.

To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for loss of, or damage to, your models, files, data or work resulting from code or changes produced or run with Lattice.

10. Your content

"Your Content" means your code, prompts, conversations, files, models and the outputs Lattice produces for you.

  • You own Your Content. We don't claim any ownership of it.
  • Lattice runs on your computer. Your Content is not sent to us; AI requests go from your computer to the provider you choose. See the Privacy Policy.
  • If you choose to send us something (for example, a screenshot or file with feedback or a support request), you give us permission to use it only to help you and improve Lattice.

11. Our property, feedback and trademarks

  • Lattice, including its software, design, content and brand, is owned by FreeForge and our licensors and is protected by law. Except for the licence in section 4, we don't give you any rights to it.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them freely without any obligation to you.
  • Rhinoceros® and Grasshopper® are trademarks of Robert McNeel & Associates. Lattice is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by McNeel. Other names are trademarks of their owners.

12. Updates and changes to the Service

  • The editor may update automatically to fix problems and add improvements. Some updates may be required to keep using the Service.
  • We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll let you know in advance.
  • Features marked as beta, preview or experimental may be incomplete and may change or be removed.

13. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using Lattice and cancel anytime.
  • We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, don't pay, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we're required to by law. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund any prepaid amount for the period after it ends.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue after termination (including 9, 10, 11 and 14 to 19) continue to apply.

14. Disclaimers

Lattice is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that AI output will be correct.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, work, goodwill or project delays, even if we were told they were possible; and
  • our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you haven't paid us anything.

These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as liability for fraud or, in some countries, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend and compensate FreeForge, its members and contractors for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms or of the law. This doesn't apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach.

17. Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
  • Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, email hello@latticecode.dev describing it. We'll both try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days before either of us starts legal proceedings.
  • If it isn't resolved, it will be decided exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
  • If you're a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom or another country whose laws give you mandatory rights, nothing in these Terms takes those rights away, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

18. Export and sanctions

You agree to comply with export control and sanctions laws that apply to you and to Lattice, and not to use Lattice in or for a country, person or purpose where that is prohibited.

19. General

  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you (for example, by email or in the app) at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lattice after that means you accept the new Terms.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cancellation & Refund Policy and any plan-specific terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Lattice.
  • Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right right away, we don't give it up.
  • Assignment. You can't transfer these Terms without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • Events outside our control. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Language. If these Terms are translated, the English version applies.
